Kibbeh Cherry Geraz is a traditional Syrian dish, made with ground beef and rice ground together, then braised in a tamarind-laced sweet and tangy sauce. A very common dish in Syria and Armenia, it translates to cherry kebab.

Our journey continues through Syria with fond memories of the tea vendor man. He wanders through the souk (markets) serving hot tea to the thirsty locals.

Our journey continues through Syria, where we stumbled across this traditional little cake called Gateau Bharat. It’s a dense sponge cake on the bottom layer, with a spiced meringue piped top.
