SYRIA. Tea Vendor Man.

Our journey continues through Syria with fond memories of the tea vendor man. He wanders through the souk (markets) serving hot tea to the thirsty locals.

He carries a magnificent hand beaten urn on his back with a long tube that transfers the tea from the urn into a glass as he leans forward with his body.

The glasses sit on a tray like belt that he wears, and the glasses are simply shaken out and reused each time.

The top of the urn is ornately decorated with bells and chimes so as he walks around the streets, it rings and jingles with wonderful bells and tunes.

In the next couple of weeks, we shall be sharing our food journey through Syria with you, showcasing one of the most amazing experiences to date.
