As part of Humanity subjects like International Studies, Society & Culture and Studies of Religion, Mia Cucina Food Tours provides students with essential concepts, and the knowledge required, through engaging in a diverse community, promoting awareness and exploring the effective engagement at a local level.

As part of HSC language program, our Private Food Tours enables students to develop a greater understanding of communicating with the local community, gaining a stronger understanding in literacy, cognitive and social development, supporting what they learn in class. It helps to deepen the students' understanding and appreciation of the diverse attitudes within the wider Sydney community.

Students have the opportunity in observing first hand, a diverse Islam cultural community, developing their knowledge and understanding of the Sydney Turkish/Muslim heritage, spending the day enjoying the local Turkish cuisine, meeting the local people and visiting a Turkish Muslim Mosque. This tour includes:

• Discovering how migration has changed the cultural landscape in Australia today

• We begin with a traditional Turkish coffee and Turkish baklava

• Enjoying traditional Turkish foods, as we explore the streets, like kofte and lahmacun

• Exceptional Turkish experience, and great for teachers are free of charge

• Private Turkish Mosque Tour, learning the history of the Islam religion.

LOCATION: We meet in Turkish Auburn

TRANSPORT: Auburn Station is 30 min from Central railway, and there is free, all-day parking available in Auburn for buses.
